Three cities – Washington, D.C., Chicago, and Boston – have served in an advisory capacity during the initial planning phase of the Prize, and will continue to do so throughout the life of the competition. (Note: These cities are ineligible to participate in the competition because of population restrictions.)

The Georgetown University Program on Science in the Public Interest is leading the Georgetown University Energy Prize in partnership with the Georgetown University Environment Initiative and the McDonough School of Business Global Social Enterprise Initiative. The Prize also regularly collaborates with faculty and students across the University, ensuring it is truly a cross-disciplinary effort.
